1. How & when can I get a copy of The Social Marketing Blueprint?

When we were taking Virtual Book Tour Secrets this year with our good friend Alex Mandossian, on one of the Friday's FAQ calls he discussed the 4 Levels of Consciousness (or what he called competency).

Those 4 levels being as follows:

Unconscious Incompetence (UI)
Conscious Incompetence (CI)
Conscious Competence (CC)
Unconscious Competence (UC)

We thought that he had done such a good job explaining it verbally, we thought we could enhance it with a visual presentation. So with his permission we created the Spectacular Presentation below.

Now what we found to be very interesting is that he posted this as a blog entry called Your 4 Levels of Competency, and were amazed at the comments he received on it. So here is the original blog posting at Alex Mandossian's blog that was posted by Jeff Herring (aka. The Internet Article Guy)

And it has to do with one of the quotes that Alex teaches his students:

“Never invent, always improve”

Heck, even we made a comment on the original blog posting, because we are good friends with both Alex and Jeff and it made sense to us. We try to Creatively Imitate when ever or where ever possible.

Jeff also posted the same posting on his own blog here. No big deal.

Now a couple of days later Stu McLaren (aka. The Idea Guy) (we are friends with Stu too, he's Canadian, eh) posted a comment on Alex/Jeff's original blog posting and also created his own blog posting here.

A quote from Stu's blog post:

"Personally, I have mixed feelings regarding the way this is presented to small business owners. On the outside, it sounds like all you have to do is model leaders in your industry and you’ll succeed."

Then Stu got a comment from Diane Eble, who then posted her own blog entry here. A quote from that blog entry:

"There’s quite an interesting discussion going on about “creative imitation”–what it is, and whether it’s good or bad."

So we searched Wikipedia.org for "Creative Imitation," and it couldn't be found. So we searched for Creative and Imitation

For Creativity we get:

"Creativity is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts , or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or concepts. An alternative conception of creativity is that it is simply the act of making something new."

And for Imitation we get:

"Imitation is an advanced behavior whereby an individual observes and replicates another's. The word can be applied in many contexts, ranging from animal training to international politics ."

So what is all the fuss? Didn't we just "Creatively Imitate" everyone?

The Speed of Repurposing a Spectacular Presentation

On July 8, 2008 we were attending class 4 of Alex Mandossian's Speed Money Repurposing course that we we got at the Ray Edwards' Speed Money Seminar that we attended back in May of this year.

Alex had instant messaged us about 20 minutes prior to the start of the call to ask if we could take a part of the Spectacular Presentation that we had done for his Virtual Book Tour Secrets course module 1, called "How to Repurpose Content and Accelerate Profits", to repurpose a few slides into a Hub and Spoke video.

Well, we always love a challenge and Alex has helped us out so much in our business, that of course we said "we'd love to". So in about 50 minutes we extracted the slides and audio that we needed, created a new Spectacular Presentation, uploaded it to a web server and then let Alex know it was available.

ELearning and ECourses, Easy to Consume for all Learning Types; Maximum Reach and Monetization for You

If you created an eCourse, would you feel good if you heard, “I just don’t learn that way” from a prospective student? Of course not. Creating a maximum attraction factor for your eCourse comes from appealing to as many of the “Learning Types” as possible. Read on to discover several ways to achieve this.

Ensuring that you have easy-to-consume material in your eCourse is the key to attracting a large eLearning student body. But… how do you do that?

The simple answer is to make sure you involve as many of the student’s senses as possible. So… how do you do that?

Well, eCourses can be delivered many ways. Let’s take a look at some of them (I’ll let you know when we get to the real good ones)…

• A text file or pdf.
This one is ok… but it would work better as a bonus gift rather than the actual course material. Auditory or kinaesthetic learners are left out in the cold.

• A teleseminar.
Again, only audio is involved. However, if the presenter allows it, some people do like the feeling of “being there” when they get to speak on the call.

• A webinar.
This is one of the good ones. You have the audio and the visuals included, and the student can get involved kinaesthetically through the Q&A. The only downside… unless the webinar presenter uses a tablet for illustrations, the visuals are static and not extremely engaging.

• A video.
Using video is great for adding visuals to an auditory message. If done well, it can be engaging. It’s just too bad that the kinaesthetic learner can’t get involved.

• A spectacular presentation.
This is the best one that I’ve found. All three types of learners will find this a wonderful format for learning. The audio and visuals are there, and the visuals come up a bit at a time as cued by the audio. The student can also get involved kinaesthetically through the search tool, user controls, clickable links, and perhaps even a quiz at the end. Spectacular presentations cover all the bases, a true multi-sensory format.

I hope this has given you some idea of the possibilities of eCourse format, and a better idea of which formats would appeal to more students.

We met Christopher Avery at Alex Mandossian's Teleseminar Secrets Reunion and he has an interesting process on Responsibility Redefined.

It was worth it for us to get his chart on the Responsibility process where he talks about — Denial, Lay Blame, Justify, Shame, Obligation, Quit and Responsibility. You really need to listen to the audio to understand this process, but it made sense to both of us.

Wow! Networking Heaven with Alex Mandossian

A seminar that gives you TONS of ideas on how to network and the time to put them to practice; can this be real?

Oh yes! We've just returned from Alex Mandossian's 2008 Teleseminar Secrets Reunion in San Francisco, where we got all that and much, much more.

You should have been there and if you were, you know exactly what we're talking about

For at least half of the seminar, Alex shared many extraordinary ideas of how to connect with people when networking. Add to that the half-hour breaks, and the best networking environment we've ever seen was created.

But that wasn't all Alex also shared words of wisdom on such topics as clearing your mind, prioritizing tasks, strengths vs. weaknesses, repurposing content, our purpose in life and suggestions on how to live a happy and rewarding life. So much content, so little time!

Another beneficial aspect created by Alex was the "tribe-size" attendance at the reunion… around 150 people. The smaller, more personable attendance numbers allowed for more opportunities to network with and meet some amazing people. We're sure that great relationships and joint ventures were a big part of the weekend for everyone they definitely were for us.

The quality of the reunion shows with the calibre of the audience in attendance, including Marty Stewart, Christina Hills, Jay Aaron, Paul Colligan, Noah St. John, Marc Harty, Elaina and Patrick McMillan, Jeff Herring, Zen DeBrucke, Morty Lefkoe, Michele PW, Dan Safkow, Wayne Van Dyck, Ted McGrath, and Dr. JoAnn Dahlkoetter.

As a treat, Alex sent every reunion attendee their very own emWave personal stress reliever. This electronic device listens to your heart and guides you to a more coherent state. Take it from us… it truly is a treat.

Big Ideas, Implementation and a Great Networking Opportunity

Where do you go when you win the Super Bowl? Disneyland.

And where do you go when you want to see quality speakers and meet extraordinary people?… Stu McLaren's Idea Incubator Seminar.

You should have been there and if you were, you know exactly what we're talking about

We just came back from Stu's Idea Incubator Seminar that was held last weekend in Anaheim. Talk about opportunity!

The knowledgeable speakers that Stu brought in got to speak twice during the weekend. This gave them the opportunity to deliver a bounty of content, of which they definitely did.

And there was an EXTREMELY high quality of speakers that were on the stage, including Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, Matt Bacak, Jermaine Griggs, Ray Edwards, Simon Leung, and Michel and Sylvie Fortina.

The smaller, more personable attendance numbers allowed for more opportunities to network with and meet some amazing people (the speakers included). We're sure that great relationships and joint ventures were a big part of the weekend for everyone they definitely were for us.

The quality of the Idea Incubator shows with the calibur of the audience in attendance, including Marty Stewart, Christina Hills, AJ Brown, Rory Cohen, Jay Aaron, Jose Espana, DJ Dave Bernstein, Eric Farewell, Rachel Rofe, Jaime Mintun, Frank Sousa, Brent Coppieters, Jon Walker (Jeff Walker's Brother), and Rubey Yeh.

Aside from the networking opportunities, we feel one of the best features was the Round Table discussions. This was where, in small groups of 6 to 8, we were able to grill each speaker about any information we wanted to know from their vast pool of knowledge. Everyone took advantage of this, asked very interesting questions and reaped an abundance of specific and actionable information.

As a treat, there was a special presentation on implementation from a coach in that specific area of expertise. There are not too many seminars held that actually help the attendees take action on their overwhelm of information.

We would definitely recommend attending this seminar next year and totally worth it!!

And we would like to say hello to all the wonderful people we met last weekend we appreciate you all, especially the salsa dancers
